TechniSat x64 driver
The information to add into the registry are store in “x64Settings.reg” file inside “\TechniSat TV Center 22.214.171.124 (Beta Version)\software\oem\bda”.
This creates 3 new registry keys:
- “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Multimedia\TV\Tuning Spaces\” about DVB-S (42), DVB-C (43) and DVB-C (44)
- “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TechniSat” and
I need to check if the driver worked fine even if the regsitry information wasn’t imported.
To solve the DirectX problem, I installed the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer to get the DirectX support on the server.
The download utility get about 54.3 Mb of required files from the web and updated the OS.
The description says:”The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime provides updates to 9.0c and previous versions of DirectX — the core Windows® technology that drives high-speed multimedia and games on the PC.”
I also downloaded a Codec Pack to be able to see MPEG2 & AC3 stream.
DVB Dream & TechniSat TV Center
TechniSat TV Center reports an error during the “Graphic Initialization”: I think it’s caused by the DirectX or Codec problems.
DVB Dream reports “Cannot initialize DVB Hardware! ErrorCode: 2″and I think it’s cause by the driver.
Both application report that they are not able to start the Video Rendering of the stream, so I think the problem could be caused by a problem in the Direct Draw.
I need to investigate in this direction.
